M. Stressing over nothing

I met a guy the other day, at work, that had to be one of the easiest going people I’ve met. He was sixty-five and appeared to be about fifty-five.

Like I always do, I went through the normal work routine with him and at the end of my spiel, I told him to come to me with any concerns. His reply was far from normal and very true.

He looked me dead in the eye and said, “You need to know one thing to get to my age. First, don’t sweat the small stuff. And, second if you want to get to my age without a heart attack, you need to know, here comes the important part, there is no big stuff.”

I would have to say that these are words to live by.

  1. Good advice.

I always try to ask myself if it's the sort of thing that will matter one way or another five years from now. If the answer is no, it's no longer a worry.
