Today was quite an interesting day, it started at five o'clock in the morning with my wife making a family recipe known as Congo Bars for our son's birthday. He turned eight today and while that doesn't seem so old, it feels too old to me. I still can't believe that I am the father of a child that is eight. I can remember being eight. He opened a few presents, one of which was a guitar, and then we were off to grandma's house. For the most part the day was filled with fun and enjoyed greatly that is the main reason that I am posting this blog so late.
